At Ak forging, we are known for our accuracy and dedication to quality in forging. We specialize in both open and closed die forging, using advanced equipment to meet the varied needs of our clients. Forging is a process where raw materials like billets, rolled rounds, and ingots are shaped into specific forms by hammering or pressing, making the material stronger. Our main forging methods include closed die, open die, and mandrel ring rolling forging.
Open die forging shapes heated raw material between a top die attached to a ram and a bottom die fixed to a hammer’s anvil. Our process can reach temperatures up to 1315°C, allowing us to shape metal into the desired form. This method is best for making larger, simpler shapes that are strong and durable.
Closed die forging is a precise method where the dies move together, surrounding the heated material. The raw material is placed in the bottom die, while the top die—carved with the negative shape of the part—comes down to press the metal into the desired shape. This technique allows us to create complex shapes with high accuracy and consistent quality.
